Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) – Social Science
Reporting To
Principal / Academic Coordinator
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver effective Social Science lessons (History, Geography, Civics, Economics) as per curriculum.
Prepare annual, monthly, and weekly lesson plans aligned with academic schedule.
Develop students’ conceptual understanding, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
Use maps, charts, timelines, case studies, and digital tools to make learning engaging.
Conduct regular assessments, tests, assignments, and project work.
Evaluate answer scripts and maintain accurate academic records.
Identify slow learners and provide remedial support and guidance.
Encourage participation in quizzes, debates, discussions, and social awareness activities.
Maintain discipline and ensure effective classroom management.
Ensure timely completion of syllabus and revision plans before examinations.
Prepare question papers, worksheets, and study materials.
Communicate student progress to parents during meetings and regular interactions.
Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and school academic events.
Support school initiatives, co-curricular activities, and examinations as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in History / Geography / Political Science / Economics or related Social Science discipline.
B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory.
CTET/TET qualification preferred as per norms.
Experience
2–5 years of teaching experience in Social Science at middle school level preferred.
Experience in CBSE/State Board curriculum will be an advantage.
Skills Required
Strong subject knowledge across Social Science disciplines.
Effective communication and presentation skills.
Ability to create interactive and student-centered learning environments.
Classroom management and discipline handling skills.
Proficiency in digital teaching tools and smart classroom usage.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
