Junior SEO Executive
3 months agoWe are hiring a Junior SEO Executive to support our SEO team at Profit.co. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who wants to build deep, hands-on expertise in search engine optimization.
You'll work on on-page optimization, keyword research, performance tracking, and link-building support under the mentorship of our SEO Analyst. If you've already started teaching yourself SEO — through side projects, certifications, or just curiosity — you'll fit right in.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis using Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar tools.
Perform on-page SEO audits and implement fixes — meta tags, headings, internal links, image alt text, schema.
Assist in publishing content on the CMS with correct SEO formatting and tagging.
Monitor keyword rankings, traffic, and indexing status using Google Search Console and GA4.
Support link-building outreach — identifying prospects, drafting emails, tracking responses.
Run basic technical SEO checks — broken links, redirects, sitemap updates, crawl issues.
Prepare weekly and monthly SEO performance reports for the team.
Stay curious — read SEO blogs, follow algorithm updates, and bring ideas to the team.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in any discipline — marketing, engineering, English, and other backgrounds are all welcome.
Basic understanding of how search engines work and what SEO is.
Strong written communication in English.
Analytical mindset — comfort with spreadsheets, numbers, and pattern recognition.
Genuine willingness to learn tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Google Search Console.
Good to Have
Certifications from Google, HubSpot Academy, SEMrush Academy, or Ahrefs Academy.
Personal experience with websites, blogs, or side projects where SEO was applied.
Basic familiarity with HTML, WordPress, or any CMS.
Internship experience in digital marketing, SEO, or content.

A great fit is someone who has already started teaching themselves SEO — finished a few free courses, maybe ranked a personal blog or helped a small business with their site, and can talk about what worked and what didn't. They ask "why" more than "what," spot patterns in data quickly, and bring the kind of quiet discipline SEO rewards. They may not know every tool, but they're not intimidated by any of them.
