Job Summary
The Deputy Manager / Manager – Projects & Maintenance will be responsible for leading showroom projects from planning to execution while ensuring timely completion within budget and quality standards. The role includes managing fit-outs, interiors, MEP services, maintenance operations, vendor coordination, and compliance activities across showroom locations. The incumbent will also oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance, coordinate with internal stakeholders, architects, consultants, and external vendors to ensure smooth project execution and operational efficiency.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Execution
Lead end-to-end execution of new showroom projects, renovations, and refurbishment activities.
Plan, coordinate, and monitor fit-out works including interiors, civil works, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing), security systems, and branding installations.
Ensure project completion as per approved drawings, technical specifications, timelines, and allocated budgets.
Monitor day-to-day project progress, identify project risks, and implement corrective actions to ensure timely delivery.
Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and internal departments for smooth project implementation.
Conduct site inspections and ensure work quality, safety, and compliance standards are maintained.
Maintenance Management
Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance activities across showrooms and facilities.
Ensure proper functioning of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, security systems, and other infrastructure-related facilities.
Coordinate with vendors and service providers for timely maintenance support and issue resolution.
Maintain AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) schedules and monitor service quality.
Vendor & Commercial Management
Identify, evaluate, and coordinate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers for project and maintenance requirements.
Handle vendor negotiations, GRN (Goods Receipt Note), invoicing, payment coordination, and documentation.
Ensure adherence to SOPs and company compliance standards.
Monitor vendor performance to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and timely execution.
Coordination & Stakeholder Management
Liaise with building owners, landlords, architects, consultants, and internal stakeholders for smooth project execution.
Support legal and documentation requirements related to showroom setup, approvals, agreements, and statutory compliance.
Coordinate effectively with Operations, Procurement, Finance, IT, Branding, and Administration teams.
Review, Reporting & Team Management
Conduct showroom visits to monitor project execution and maintenance activities.
Prepare project status reports, maintenance reports, and management updates.
Conduct review meetings and ensure timely closure of action points.
Provide guidance and training to team members and support staff.
Educational Qualification
Degree / Diploma in Engineering (Civil / Electrical / Mechanical) or relevant technical field.
Experience
5– 8 years of experience in Projects & Maintenance, preferably in Retail / Jewellery / Showroom Infrastructure.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of project execution, showroom fit-outs, and maintenance operations.
Expertise in vendor management and contractor coordination.
Good leadership, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects within timelines and budget.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Candidates willing to travel for showroom visits and site inspections.
Experience in handling retail showroom projects will be an added advantage.
